Moving with pets
Dogs, cats, fish and the rest: a calm move for everyone.
Two weeks before
- Update the microchip details
- Find a new vet near the new home
- Book a sitter or a friend for the day
The fish tank
- Move the fish in bags of their own water
- Empty the tank: we can only move it empty
- Keep the filter wet so the good bacteria survive
Dogs and cats
- Shut them in one quiet room with a sign on the door
- Travel them yourself, never in the van
- Keep cats in for two weeks at the new place
Hutches, cages and kennels
- Clean them out the day before
- Tell us the size so they fit the van
